The Mac version of EVE Online has, frankly, had a bumpy release. EVE veterans who switched to the Mac client immediately noticed that it runs considerably slower than its PC counterpart, for example. You need to not use the default Mac OS X Eve Client but instead follow the instructions in that thread. Been playing this way for years. 2 points 4 years ago. R/evemac is not taking off like I'd like it to, but could you crosspost this there?

EVE Online Bot on Mac OSX 9 Years, 7 Months ago | Karma: 0 | Hello all, At Slav2's request I am posting information concerning how I run EVE Pilot in OSX using virtualization software. HOST MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6.6 (Snow Leopard) 2.5 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM 250 GB 7200 RPM HDD Parallels 6.0.11992 GUESTOS: Windows XP Pro SP3 CPU: 1 CPU MEM: 1.5 GB Optimization:- Faster virtual machine
- Enable Adaptive Hypervisor
- Tune Windows for Speed
- Better Performance
Hardware:- 256 MB video memory
- Enable 3D acceleration
With these settings EVE runs very well and EVE Pilot runs very well. I have not tried multiple clients inside the virtual machine but I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem. The only issues that arise are periodic slowdowns and delays concerning disk i/o, which could be solved with a faster RPM drive. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here and I will try to answer anything I can. Thank you! |

You should install virtual machine Parallels 6.0.11992 to your mac computer (host). Virtual machine looks like another computer (guest) in a window. As a rule virtal machine is empty in the beginning and you need to install guest operating system like you work on separated computer. If you reinstalled windows, you will follow the same steps to install windows under virtual machine. Then you install eve (for windows), .Net framework 3.5 SP1 and eve pilot to virtual machine. Eve Pilot is windows program, but can work under windows emilation on mac. You can reassign your license to another character ones per 24h. |

Re:EVE Online Bot on Mac OSX 9 Years, 3 Months ago | Karma: 712 | There is an opinion that Parallels 6.0.12090 may not be used. Use earlier version. |

Re: EVE Online Bot on Mac OSX 9 Years, 3 Months ago | Karma: 2 | I have ran two VMs on a MAC. A dou core 2.53 or near that will tax at about 100% with 4GB of ram with two VMs but the VMs will work without any major issues. Parallels 6 works fine. you can easily run two on macbook pro or mac pro. I have run one VM while running the MAC client of eve at the same time without any issues as well. Re: EVE Online Bot on Mac OSX 8 Years, 7 Months ago | Karma: 0 | Anyone had any issues running VMWear or Parallels on the latest OS X with all updates applied? After installing MAC updates booting the VM now uses 100% CPU and doesn't boot up, it says there's a disk read error but setting up a new VM also crashes... I reinstalled OS X, set it all up, worked ok for a bit then did the same.. Annoying! |

Eve For Mac Os X 10.10
Is your Mac up to date with the latest version of the Mac operating system (macOS or OS X)? Is it using the version required by some other product that you want to use with your Mac? Which versions are earlier (older) or later (newer, more recent)? To find out, learn which version is installed now.
If your macOS isn't up to date, you may be able to update to a later version.
Which macOS version is installed?
From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You should see the macOS name, such as macOS Mojave, followed by its version number. If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.
This example shows macOS Catalina version 10.15 build 19A583.
Which macOS version is the latest?
These are all Mac operating systems, starting with the most recent. When a major new macOS is released, it gets a new name, such as macOS Catalina. As updates that change the macOS version number become available, this article is updated to show the latest version of that macOS.
If your Mac is using an earlier version of any Mac operating system, you should install the latest Apple software updates, which can include important security updates and updates for the apps that are installed by macOS, such as Safari, Books, Messages, Mail, Music, Calendar, and Photos.
